Cricket Fans in Pink - at the Pink Test at SCG

Pink and Bright at the SCG
It was supposed to be the New Year’s Test. But the ongoing Pakistan vs Australia 3rd Test Match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will no go down in history as the PINK TEST. In support of the Jane Mc Grath Foundation that is driving awareness and raising funds for breast cancer, spearheaded by former Aussie great Glenn McGrath, the SCG has been a riot of pink these past 3 days. Not just the fans, even the stumps were in pink. The Australian Prime Minister Kevin Ruud wore a pink tie, his wife Theresa was dressed in a floral pink skirt, tv commentator and former batsman Michael Slater looked bright and happy in his pink suit. Fittingly, the signage of the Ladies Stand at the SCG which has been renamed as the Jane Mc Grath stand was painted in pink too.
I have never seen a cricket ground look more cheerful before! Here’s wishing the pigeon all the luck in his noble flight.
